DAVIDsTEA

15 06 2009

In my quest to find new teas, I have recently discovered DAVIDsTEA. (http://www.davidstea.com).

DAVIDsTEA is awesome – friendly staff, awesome stores, and of course – delicious tea!

These teas are fabulous – coffee drinkers will be converted after one cup, or even after one smell.

I just picked up some tea from the new summer collection, and I tried out Coco Cocoa this morning. It is absolutely delicious, and as the package describes – “better than ice cream”! It’s the perfect blend of black tea and yummy flavours.

What are you waiting for? Get out there and try some of this awesome tea!

Tea for Thought

“Better to be deprived of food for three days than of tea for one.” - Chinese Proverb

I have recently taken an interest in tea. Tea is not just another drink. When an individual drinks a cup of tea, they are drinking into years of embedded history and culture, alongside the endless list of health benefits. To drink tea is to engage in a way of life. The way of tea, Chado. Teaism is fascinating – the synthesis of Taoism, Zen and the Chinese use of tea.

I read a fascinating article on the weekend about a teashop dans Paris. Taking tea in Paree “People do not choose a tea, it is as if the right tea chooses them…”

There is an entire world of tea out there that many have not discovered. It’s not just a box on the shelf at a grocery store – it’s a way of life, with the appreciation of tea lacking on a North American level.
